Alpizar’s choice of figurine attire, the disproportionate sizes of the subject matter, the contrasting colors, as well as its subject matter’s balance establish a conundrum of clues to Alpizar’s ultimate statement.

 

Alpizar intentionally titles his miniature series by numbers; choosing not to help the viewer decide what characteristic is being emphasized and allowing the viewer to make up his/her own inference.
