Enrique graduated from the academic art institute of Raul Sanchez of Pinar del Rio in 1972. He was a quick learner and highly gifted- Daussat began teaching as a fine arts professor from 1974 to 1992. He now has 28 years of professional experience and aside from participating in top literary competitions as a poet, is currently an independent artist for the Cuban Cultural Property Fund. 

 

Daussat is a tireless artist whom inserts passion onto his pieces.  He works with speed and skill and uses mixed media to achieve different textures in his works. Each of these textures reflects a facet of his personality. Daussat is an artist of great sensitivity whom does not believe in attending contests solely for achieving prizes and recognition. His biggest concern is having the public enjoy his work, which to him is the essence of his identity.

Exhibited in different Art Expos in France, Italy and in Colombia, he has shown at The Rockefeller Center in New York and in numerous private art exhibitions in Fortune 500 Corporations with AOTA art program in United States.​
